The role

We are seeking a highly skilled and talented teacher of design technology, with a specialism in food preparation and nutrition, to deliver the curriculum at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will be committed to continuous improvement, striving to be the best teacher you can be. As such, you will deliver exceptional lessons and secure outstanding learning, progress and attainment for every pupil. There may also be an expectation to deliver some lessons as part of the 'L@kes' curriculum (PSHCE). This role is 0.4FTE - 0.6FTE (negotiable) and fixed term until 31 August 2026. Applications from ECTs are welcomed.

The candidate

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and nutrition. They will be able to demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning and have a deep understanding of how to engage young people in design technology. They will also be committed to the personal development of pupils, inspiring and motivating them to achieve highly.
